Own the file, not just a piece of it.

We hire engineers and project staff who want one client, one building, and one outcome at a time, with the whole multi-disciplinary team behind them. Two offices, Burnaby and Kelowna.

    You own the file

At larger firms an engineer touches one piece of a job and hands it on. Here you scope the work, you run the work, and you put your seal on the report. The client knows your name from the first site visit to the last page.

  2. 02

    Five disciplines, one table

Building science, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical all sit in-house. When a file needs three disciplines, you walk down the hall instead of subcontracting it out. The answer comes back the same week, not the next month.

  3. 03

    Your seal means something

Every report leaves this firm sealed by the engineer who did the work. That is a standard, not a formality. We back the people whose name goes on the page, and we expect them to stand behind it.

  4. 04

    Real clients, two offices

The work is real and it repeats. Property managers and self-managed councils across the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan keep calling because the last file was done right. Same team, same standard, in Burnaby and Kelowna.

Bring your judgment. We will give it room.

If you want to carry a building from the first site visit to the sealed report, with four other disciplines down the hall, this is the firm. You own the work your name goes on.

A short process, run by the people you would work with.

Questions from candidates.

What disciplines does Strata Engineering hire for?

Engineers across five disciplines: building science and envelope, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and HVAC, and electrical. The firm also hires project management staff who coordinate across all five disciplines.

Does Strata Engineering hire in Kelowna as well as Burnaby?

Yes. Strata Engineering operates from a head office in Burnaby and a branch office on Pandosy Street in Kelowna. Roles are available at both locations.

What does the hiring process look like?

Four steps: send your details by email, a first conversation about your background and goals, a meeting with the engineers and project staff you would work alongside, then an offer if it is a fit on both sides.

Can I apply if there is no specific posting listed?

Yes. Strata Engineering welcomes enquiries from strong engineers and project staff at any time. Send your resume and a note about the work you want to own to info@strataengineering.com.
